Don Briggs' River Runners of the Grand Canyon

Must read for anyone who has white-water rafted.
This is a great little piece of history and a must read for anyone who has spent any time on the Colorado River, especially in the Grand Canyon.

Loving the history of Grand Canyon
I worked for the late Georgie White in Grand Canyon for 14 summers. I cannot tell you what a special place the River Corridor is. One has to experience it for oneself. This video captures the history of those intrepid and sometimes foolish adventurers who tried to "tame" the Colorado River in so many ways.

Don Briggs is a masterful story teller and cinematographer. Because he worked as a boatman for a great many years Don has that special affinity with the Canyon that brings out the artist in almost everyone connected to it. You might wish to check out his "River Song" ... it is gorgeous!

I miss my days in the Grand, but this DVD helps keep me connected to the people and places I hold so dear.
